Located near Nashik, the Gondeshwar Temple is a beautiful example of Indian architecture. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple reflects the panchayatana style. Gondeshwar temple is believed to have been built in the 12th century. Some sources claim that Raj Govinda of the Yadava Dynasty built it. This temple was built using locally available basalt and lime. The Kurma Avatar of Lord Vishnu was carved in the center of the pavilion
